Bolingbrook\, IL. \nLunch: TBD | Solstice Century Celebration: TBD \nAll riders\, donors and volunteers are invited to the Solstice Century Celebration – dinner\, music\, and drinks. \nDISTANCE: 100 miles around the beautiful forest preserve. Accomplish this by riding multiple times around a two different 10 mile loops\, providing you with multiple breaks\, if desired. This is not a race!  The goal is to enjoy the day as a community and encourage/support other riders to complete their century ride. We ask all participants to plan on making a full day out of this experience. \nYOUR RESPONSIBILITY: Each rider is responsible for providing a bike and helmet. If you want to rent a bike and helmet from one of our local bike shops\, be sure to check that box on the registration form. Family or friends are welcome to stop by and encourage you during the day. \nOUR RESPONSIBILITY: We want the day to be fun and worry free for you. We’ll provide food\, drinks\, and volunteer support along the route. \nREQUIREMENTS: Every rider is asked to rasie a minimum of $1\,000. You can choose (in the “sign up now” section) to raise funds for a group of pre-determined local charities\, with support going to either Mental Health Services\, Housing Services or International Youth Outreach. \nIMPACT: Every rider is asked to fundraise towards a minimum goal of $1\,000 that will go to local charities. Fifteen teams will compete in raising money for DuPagePads before race day\, with the goal of raising $155\,000 for DuPagePads to assist families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness. \nQuestions? Contact Carrie at cflick@dupagepads.org or 630.682.3846 x2290 \nDrive for 155 FAQ\nHow much does it cost to participate?\nOnce a team secures the $1\,000 entry fee\, a team kart will be reserved. Teams are expected to meet/exceed the $5\,000 fundraising goal.  How many participants are on a team?\nThere is a minimum of 4 drivers per team\, up to 8. Most teams have 5-6 participants. Are there restrictions on drivers?Drivers must be at least 16 years old.\nDrivers under 18 will be required to have a parent present to sign a waiver at the track.\nMinimum height is 56″.  Do I need experience?No experience is necessary\, but the karts can reach a top speed of 55 mph.  How does the team fundraise?\nThe team captain will set up both an individual and team page. They can then invite the other members of the team to join and set up fundraising pages. All donations to individual pages will be reflected in the team total. Share your fundraising page with family\, friends\, and co-workers via social media or email. What is the timeline for the day?4:30pm Registration check-in begins4:45pm Starting positions set5:15pm Drivers Meeting (all drivers need to be present)6:00pm – 9:00pm Racing9:20pm Awards Ceremony What should I know about event day?\nThe race will take place in light rain.\nClosed-toed shoes are required. Shorts or pants are acceptable.Team-colored shirts will be provided to easily identify your teammate racing.\nA helmet will be provided if you need one.\nYou will have a 10×10 space in the grass for your team. Front-row spaces will be assigned to the top fundraising teams. We suggest bringing a pop-up tent and lawn chairs. Guests are welcome to view the event.\nAutobahn Cafe will be open limited hours. Coolers are permitted\, if you’d like to brink your own food.\nAdditional information about the event will be sent to participants the week of. Awards?There will be 2-3 classes of drivers based on experience.
