Charity Challenge: The Great Descent!
This thrilling fundraiser, hosted in partnership with Over The Edge, invites 50 brave supporters to rappel 12 stories down from the roof of Hotel Arista on Saturday, May 9th!
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
Our Interim Housing program could not function without volunteers. Can you help serve a meal, assist with washing linens for our beds, or become a tutor for one of the 100 children in our programs?
DuPagePads’ Access Center will serve as an overnight warming center, and it will be open daily, including holidays, from 4pm-8am. Additionally, our regular Access Center hours will continue Monday-Wednesday and Friday from 8am-4pm and Thursdays 8am – noon, closed on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays.
If you encounter anyone experiencing homelessness in DuPage County, please encourage them to join us at the Access Center for a warm, welcoming, and safe place to stay along with basic needs, food, laundry, and showers. Our staff will triage the clients who walk in or get dropped off at the Access Center and will offer shelter placement to those who qualify and are willing to go. Please note that we cannot accept sex offenders or those registered on Violence Against Youth Registry.
Reaching a milestone of 25 years with a single organization speaks volumes for an individual’s dedication, passion, and commitment. This year, DuPagePads is thrilled to celebrate an extraordinary journey that began with an eager intern 20 years ago, whose compassion, leadership, and expertise led her to become the Director of Client Services today.
Out of 315 nominees, DuPagePads has been selected as one of the Top 100 Finalists for the 24th annual Chicago Innovation Awards. The awards celebrate the most innovative new products and services in the Chicago region across all organization sizes, sectors and industries.
32 organizations across the U.S. receive a total of $102.5 million from the Bezos Day 1 Families Fund to connect families with housing and hope.
Not the shelter.
Not the nights spent in a car, in a motel room or on the street. DuPagePads’ goal is to help each person we serve to have the independence of a home of their own.
The solution to end homelessness is more complex than providing individuals with food and shelter. Founded in 1985, DuPagePads is the largest provider of interim and permanent housing, coupled with support services in order to help individuals work toward a place to call home – DuPagePads vital support services enable the individuals we help to receive case management and life coaching, employment support such as GED courses and job coaching, as well as engagement with employers—effectively stopping the cycle of homelessness.
DuPagePads IS the solution to end homelessness — because when someone believes in you, everything can change.
