8 Ways to Win at DuPagePads Run 4 Home
By participating and/or fundraising for DuPagePads Run 4 Home on Saturtday, September 17 at 8:00am in Wheaton, you are taking a step to end homelessness in DuPage County. Looking for more motivation to participate in this 5K and 10K Run, 5K walk? Check out these 8 ways to win at DuPagePads Run 4 Home:
1. Cubs Tickets!
Register by Friday, August 19th and be entered in a drawing to win four Chicago Cubs tickets to the game on September 20th. You will also save $5 on registration, so you won’t want to miss out on these perks: www.padsrun.org.
2. Youth Awards!
Youth can receive many benefits from fundraising for DuPagePads Run 4 Home. By educating youth that there are people just like them in the community who are without a place to call “home,” children can feel empathy and gratitude. Additionally by organizing a fundraiser, youth can develop leadership and money management skills. To culminate their fundraising efforts, the Run 4 Home is a fun and festive event with upbeat music and snacks.
New this year, the top three youth fundraisers (age 14 and younger) for DuPagePads Run 4 Home will be called on stage and receive special recognition. Contact Linda today (lflo@dupagepads.org) about setting up their own fundraising page which makes collecting online donations easy and secure.
Returning this year is the Ross K. MacNeill Award for the top three youth 14 and under finishers in the 5K and 10K. Winning runners will be called up on the stage and given awards. A passion for the homeless, learn more about Ross and his legacy here: http://www.r33m.org/
3. Fundraising Awards!
In addition to the youth fundraising awards, the top three individual and team fundraisers will also be recognized on stage. Just like the youth, fundraising pages can be quickly and easily created to make collecting donations from family and friends swift and secure. Contact Linda (lflo@dupagepads.org) to create your page.
4. Largest Group!
Gather your family, coworkers, friends, service group, congregation members or club to participate in the Run 4 Home. With a 5K and 10K run as well as a 5K walk, there is something for everyone.
