What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Kick-off your day with a morning walk or run at the 36th Annual Dan Gibbon’s Turkey Trot in Elmhurst.
Each year DuPagePads is a beneficiary of this Thanksgiving Day 5K fun run is a tradition for many in the DuPage community.
In its 36 years, the Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot has raised nearly $3.9 million dollars to help those experiencing hunger in our county. The funds have provided nearly 4 million meals and the event brings families and a community together on a day for giving thanks.
Interested in getting involved? Volunteer!
The task of helping neighbors in need through an event like this on Thanksgiving Day is not something that can be done alone. We are looking for 5-10 volunteers who want to help make this annual event a reality. If you are available from 7 am-10:15 am on Thanksgiving Day, and can lift up to 30 lbs moving barricades, please consider helping out as a volunteer!
