Online Volunteer Training Now Live!
Looking for a productive way to stay inside from the cold?… Consider taking DuPage Pads online volunteer training and becoming certified!
For the first time in DuPage Pad’s 28 year history, volunteers are able to complete a web-based training program at their own convenience. Volunteers will learn about the agency’s mission to end homelessness, programs and services provided, best practices in risk management, volunteer roles and more!
The Online Volunteer Training Program is all made possible by a donation from the Spirit of Volunteerism Fund of The DuPage Country Foundation. This $30,000 grant assisted Dupage Pads in providing training videos and informative content on their website for all their registered volunteers.
Volunteers who become involved in our training will greatly benefit. Empowered by skills and information learned through the training, the overnight sites will become safer and volunteers can feel more comfortable in their roles and responsibilities.
All volunteers who complete the training receive a certificate and the first 50 were entered to win a $50 gift card. Volunteers have been very satisfied and supportive of the online training since its January launch.
