Drive for 75 – An Exciting Finish

Thrill seekers and race enthusiasts competed in the 4th annual Drive for 75 this past Sunday! This four-hour enduro karting event was held in a new location this year, Autobahn Country Club, and it was a huge success.  Thirteen teams raced not only on the track, but in fundraising efforts as well.

With an overall goal of raising $75,000, each team was challenged to raise funds to go towards DuPage Pads housing programs and support services for families and individuals who are homeless.  Teams were ranked by donation amount with the top fundraisers taking the most desirable starting positions.

The top three fundraising teams are:

  1. Continental Racing
  2. FOG Racing
  3. Bubba-Gump Racing

This year the weather was perfect. The outdoor track allowed for a longer and more challenging race course.  In fact, Autobahn Country Club opened a new, never before used part of the track exclusively for this race.  Hairpin turns and winding roads didn’t seem to daunt many racers.

The teams were divided into two classes based on their karting experience.

The top three teams in the Pro-Class were:

  1. KM Racing
  2. PB&Js
  3. Continental Racing

The top three Sportsman-Class racing teams were:

  1. ESW Racing
  2. Team First Trust
  3. Scuderia Sei

The Drive for 75 is on target to reach our goal of raising $75,000, now at $70,990! We are accepting donations until July 15th and hope you will consider donating to help end homeless.  Donating online is quick, secure and easy!  Click here or checks can be made out to DuPage Pads with D475 in the memo.

We would like to thank our sponsors for this year’s event:  Continental Motors of Naperville, Honda and Davi Law Group.

We are extremely grateful to our race participants and supporters who came to enjoy this exciting day! Thank you to all our contributors for helping more people move to a place they can call “home”.
