WHEATON, ILLINOIS – DuPagePads is calling all walkers and runners, individuals and families to the 10th Annual Run 4 Home on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 8am, beginning at 703 West Liberty in Wheaton. This 10K and 5K CARA approved course will appeal to serious runners, casual joggers and walkers.
Fundraising for this event will help provide critical support services to families and individuals who are homeless in DuPage County. DuPagePads believes everyone should have a place to call “home”. Open 365 days a year, the agency’s solution to ending homelessness is providing housing, coupled with support services and employment. “Homelessness is a community issue and yet, many people living in DuPage County are unaware that there is a homeless population” said Carol Simler, Executive Director of DuPagePads. “Last year, we served 1,451 individuals, 245 children and 140 families. We know we have the solution to end homelessness and we count on events like this and generous individuals and organizations to help us as we End Homelessness One Step at a Time!”
“We are incredibly thankful for our supporters. From volunteers to runners and walkers, to our sponsors, every effort makes an impact on our mission. This year, we are honored to announce our Diamond Sponsors: Continental Motors of Naperville, Mike Lifts 100 Tons and Republic Bank who have amazed us with their generosity,” said Carol Simler, Executive Director of DuPagePads.
In addition, other generous sponsors for the DuPagePads Run 4 Home include: JD Norman Industries, Knickerbocker Roofing and Paving Co. Inc., Jim & Kathy Schlesser, Suburban Life Media and Suburban Life Fit, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital and Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center, Ostrander Construction, Bill Hamik, Ray & Mary Schulte, Starbucks Coffee Co., Whole Foods Wheaton, Chick-fil-A Wheaton, Adventist GlenOaks Hospital, Evergreen Bank Group, Guggenheim Partners, DynaCom and iMed Campus, Advantage Wellness Clinic and Naperville Running Co.
