5 Impactful Ways to Help People who are Homeless this Holiday Season
The holiday season is a time that inspires us to think about giving not only to our loved ones, but to those in need through gifts of time and funds. DuPagePads has many ways to help the homeless that you can give back to your community and brighten someone else’s holiday this year.
1) Donate on #GIVING TUESDAY
#GivingTuesday, dedicated to giving back and celebrating generosity, will be on December 2nd. After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, help us make the most out of a National day of giving! DuPagePads has a goal of raising $10,000. Make a donation, share your story and tell the world why you are giving by posting about it on our social media pages with the hashtag #GIVINGTUESDAY.
2) Secure a Holiday Meal
Donate a gift card to area grocery stores like Jewel, Target and Walgreens. These gift cards can help someone:
- Buy groceries for a holiday meal
- Cover prescription costs at the pharmacy
- Diapers for young children
- Needed clothing and shoes for the cold winter months

3) Share The Fare

- Our Interim (Overnight) Housing sites when it’s extremely cold
