Flood brings community together – Heavy rains flooded the basement of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Downers Grove last year. Consequently, the church’s DuPage Pads overnight site faced immense water damage. However this storm cloud truly had a silver lining, as First Congregational turned the flood into an opportunity to update their site amenities to better serve DuPage Pads’ clients.
From Homeless to Housing: Leslie, Jeremy and their children were chronically homeless for three years. DuPage Pads helped them obtain their home and full time employment. Now their children are doing much better in school.
Continental Motors Group of Naperville and DuPage Pads have teamed up for the fourth annual karting enduro for charity! Four Inspirational Volunteers Selected out of 4,000, DuPage Pads 2014 Volunteer of the Year Announced. DuPagePads requested that supporters submit nominations for the Volunteer of the Year Award in two categories: Adult and Youth (age 13 to 17). A committee selected the winners – Adult Winners: Paul Kalinich, Maureen Parker, Cindy Sheely; Youth Winner: Riyah Basha.
