In the summers of 2010-2013, Mike DeMeritt ran 100 miles to raise funds for DuPage Pads’ housing programs and supportive services for families and individuals who are homeless. This year, in a break from tradition, Mike decided that he would lift 100 tons over the course of eight hours!

On Sat., Sept. 6th DuPage Pads held their 10th Annual Run 4 Home 5K & 10K Run, 5K Walk in Wheaton. DuPage Pads welcomed the largest participation in its ten year history and raised a record amount of funds to help the organization’s goal to end homelessness in DuPage County.

This July, leadership members of DuPage Pads had the opportunity to attend the National Alliance to End Homelessness Conference in Washington, D.C, along with over 1,600 advocates from across the country focused on Ending Homelessness.
Volunteer Lifts 100 Tons for DuPage Pads! After Raising $40,000 by Running 100 Miles Every Year Since 2010, Mike DeMerritt will begin a new fundraiser, Mike Lifts 100 Tons, to support DuPagePads. From 8:00am-4:00am, Mike will lift weights to reach a cumulative total of 100 tons at the Crossfit Carol Stream. Mike is seeking 100 generous donors to contribute $100, a dollar for every ton he lifts, to reach his $10,000 goal.
