Drive for 75 – The Racing to End Homelessness
Join DuPagePads in a thrilling race to end homelessness.
Our 5th Annual Drive for 75 is a fun and exciting way to support your community and DuPagePads mission to end homelessness in DuPage County. Hosted by Continental Motors of Naperville at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, this year’s event will take place on June 28, 2015.
15 karting teams will compete in a four-hour, fast-paced race around an exclusive track at Autobahn Country Club to raise $75,000 for DuPagePads mission to end homelessness. This fund raising event is one of a kind. Over the past four years, the Drive for 75 has raised over $300,000 for DuPagePads housing programs and support services!
If you’re a thrill seeker and you’re looking for a great way to help your community and want to sign up, here is what you’ll need to do:
- Reserve your spot on the NEW configured race track by contacting Kariann at KLazansky@dupagepads.org.
- Pay an entry fee of $750 – which will allow you to select your team t-shirts color and begin collecting donations.
- Help your team meet or exceed a fundraising goal of $2,500. Teams that raise the most money will have the best starting position.
- Race!
Not experienced in go-kart racing? Not to worry, teams will compete for awards based on their karting experience level.
“The teams are competitive on the course, but even more so in their fundraising for DuPagePads. At the end of the race day, everyone will walk away a little tired, but more importantly, proud of what their efforts have accomplished for this organization,” Joel Weinberger said, who also serves as DuPagePads Board of Directors Vice Chair.
The funds raised from this event provide people who are homeless with housing, support services and employment. This event continues to support these key programs, helping people obtain stable housing and rebuild their lives.
Donating is easy, teams will be given their own fundraising web page so they will be able to share it with their friends and family.
