April Redzic, DuPagePads President and CEO, announced last week several staff promotions tied to the organization’s recent growth and intent to continue advancing its mission to end homelessness in DuPage County.
“With our rapid growth has come the need to add or grow key positions that will advance our organization and align with our strategic planning objectives” shared Redzic in a recent staff announcement.
Five leadership promotions were also recently announced as part of DuPagePads’ strategic growth.
Scott Austgen promoted to Chief Program Officer
Since 2019, Scott has led the creation of pioneering programs that enhance DuPagePads’ mission and champions the needs of clients across all aspects of DuPagePads work. His mantra of courage over comfort, and subject matter expertise in all things clinical, have helped service programs to evolve with thoughtfulness, effectiveness and agility.
Matthew Kucharik to Associate Director of Quality Assurance.
During his 3 years of service as DuPagePads Grant Accountant, Matthew’s efforts have stewarded growth and stability in the finance and operational support required for publicly granted housing programs, and he continues to be a tireless advocate on behalf of clients with property owners. In this new role, Matthew will continue to impact Pads’ mission ensuring programmatic data and mission success go hand in hand.
Karin Obman promoted to Chief Financial Officer/VP of Administration
For more than 10 years Karin has provided strong financial stewardship with best practices and improved operational oversight. Her acumen and dedication to DuPagePads have led to staff and operational growth, doubling the number of full-time staff members, tripling the annual operating budget, and supporting the significant increase of nights of safe shelter from 44,000 to 110,000 annually for neighbors in need.
Chad Pedigo to Chief Development Officer
Since 2019, Chad has elevated DuPagePads mission and network of dedicated supporters and donors to meet the growing needs of neighbors and families seeking food and shelter at DuPagePads. An undaunted and ever-kind voice for the organization and clients, Chad has met the increased demand through values-based fundraising leading to record-breaking outcomes supporting the organizations growth to triple its size from when he started.
Erica Whelan to Associate Director of Grants
With poise, genuineness, and a bottomless memory of statistical information about DuPagePads mission and impact, Erica has led the growth of DuPagePads grant support from $1.9M to $5.4M over the course of five years. The critical funding provided through received grants has helped power DuPagePads strategic growth, mission evolution, and led to greater outcomes for more housing and client service success. Her diplomacy in communicating with funders, diligence in application and reporting, and thoughtfulness in describing DuPagePads operations has positively impacted so many clients’ lives.
“We hope our community of volunteers, staff and donors will join me in celebrating these much-deserved promotions,” said Redzic.
