How much does it cost to participate?
Once a team secures the $1,000 entry fee, a team kart will be reserved. Teams are expected to meet/exceed the $5,000 fundraising goal.
How many participants are on a team?
There is a minimum of 4 drivers per team, up to 8. Most teams have 5-6 participants.
Are there restrictions on drivers?
Drivers must be at least 16 years old.
Drivers under 18 will be required to have a parent present to sign a waiver at the track.
Minimum height is 56″.
Do I need experience?
No experience is necessary, but the karts can reach a top speed of 55 mph.
How does the team fundraise?
The team captain will set up both an individual and team page. They can then invite the other members of the team to join and set up fundraising pages. All donations to individual pages will be reflected in the team total. Share your fundraising page with family, friends, and co-workers via social media or email.
What is the timeline for the day?
4:30pm Registration check-in begins
4:45pm Starting positions set
5:15pm Drivers Meeting (all drivers need to be present)
6:00pm – 9:00pm Racing
9:20pm Awards Ceremony
What should I know about event day?
The race will take place in light rain.
Closed-toed shoes are required. A helmet will be provided if you need one. Team-colored shirts will be provided to easily identify your teammate racing.
You will have a 10×10 space in the grass for your team. Front-row spaces will be assigned to the top fundraising teams. We suggest bringing a pop-up tent and lawn chairs. Guests are welcome to view the event.
Additional information about the event will be sent to participants the week of.
Awards?
There will be 2-3 classes of drivers based on experience. The top 3 finishers in each class will receive an award.
