Lace up and help strengthen others on the path to end homelessness. Run/walk solo, or bring your family, friends, congregations and co-workers together for a socially distanced virtual run or walk! You create this year’s course supporting an end to homelessness, walking through your neighborhood, downtown, or amongst the beauty of nature on one of the many Forest Preserve trails.

Win an Award! Top fundraisers, largest participating business/organization and largest participating congregation will all receive awards! Winners will be announced on Saturday, September 19th.

Frequently Asked Questions

A virtual run/walk is a race that can be completed in any location you choose; you create your own path. Complete it in your neighborhood, on a park district or forest preserve trail, or on a treadmill! There is no official race route.

When do I complete the virtual run/walk? Choose any day and time between September 1st and September 19th to complete your race. Please submit your race time by the end of September 19th.

How much does it cost? Adults: $35, Children (6-13): $15

What is included in registration? Registration includes a Run 4 Home tech shirt for participants registered by August 9th.

Where do I run/walk? Choose your own path! You create your own course, walking through your neighborhood, downtown or on a trail. Please keep in mind the current social distancing guidelines while completing your run/walk.

How will I get my Run 4 Home shirt? Participants registered through August 9th will receive a Run 4 Home shirt that can be picked up at DuPagePads or mailed to you. You will select if you will be picking up or having it mailed during registration.
Runner Appreciation Days/Shirt pick-up will be Friday, August 28th, 4:00pm – 7:00pm and Saturday, August 29th, 9:00am – 12:00pm.

When does online registration close? Online registration is available through September 19th. Participants registered through August 9th will receive a Run 4 Home shirt.

Are there awards and medals? There are awards! We will have awards for the top fundraisers, largest participating business/organization and largest participating congregation.
We will not have medals for overall finishers or age divisions this year.

When will I see the results? Award winners will be announced on Saturday, September 19th.
Run times will be available by Monday, September 21st for those that submit their times.

What is the Fitbit integration? After registering, you will have access to MyHQ. Within MyHQ, you can log into your Fitbit app to keep track of your steps.

If I can’t participate, can I have a refund? Sorry, no refunds. However, your registration fee will go towards housing programs and support services for families and individuals who are homeless in DuPage County.
