DuPagePads was one of 25 not-for-profit organizations in DuPage County to receive a grant from the 2013 Spring Community Needs Grant Cycle of The DuPage Community Foundation based in Wheaton, Illinois. The grant, awarded at a special distribution breakfast on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Glen Oak Country Club in Glen Ellyn, will help underwrite DuPagePads’ Family Outreach Program.
“Over the last year alone we have seen a 39% increase in the number of children and a 29% increase in the number of families coming to our doors. These families need access to services to obtain stable housing. We are grateful for The DuPage Community Foundation’s support of the Family Outreach Program,” said Carol Simler, DuPagePads’ Executive Director.
