Three New Year’s Resolutions that Help End Homelessness
A new year is a great time to not only recommit to yourself but your community. Every day, DuPagePads has opportunities for you to join in the mission to end homelessness in DuPage County. Here are three ways you can make a difference this year!
1. Volunteer Once a Month (or more)!
DuPagePads is the largest provider of Interim (overnight) Housing in the county. This simply would not be possible without our sites and volunteers who work together every week for those who would otherwise have nowhere to turn. These sites are often the first step in many of our client’s journeys home.
DuPagePads Interim (Overnight) Housing Sites are always looking for volunteers. Overnight Site Monitor volunteers to help once a month for 3 to 4 hours and are always our biggest need. There are various shifts from 8:30 pm to 5:30 am. Learn more about being a Site Monitor.

2. Attend an Event!
To raise funds and awareness, DuPagePads hosts four special events throughout the year and numerous outside fundraisers. These events are a fun way to join a community dedicated to ending homelessness. From running, bowling, eating, or listening to speakers, there are activities for everyone!
DuPagePads also has a Young Professionals Network! DuPagePads Young Professionals Network plays a key role in supporting our mission, with a strong presence at all DuPagePads events and volunteering at the Interim (overnight) Housing Sites. Members are generous with their time, money and skills, assisting DuPagePads in fundraising, advocacy, and volunteering. Young Professional Socials are also a great way to socialize and network.

3. Become a DuPagePads Partner!
When someone believes in you, everything can change. Make that someone, you. Join our mission to end homelessness as a Pads Partner.
Join a caring network of friends who:
- Provide generous contributions ($1,000 Premier Partner, $500 Pads Partner) to DuPagePads on an annual basis
- Promote the mission of DuPagePads in their communities
- Encourage friends and associates to participate and support DuPagePads in similar ways
DuPagePads Partners receive:
- Updates from DuPagePads Leadership to keep you informed of the latest developments
- Invitations to appreciation gatherings and special events
- A partnership in our mission to rebuild lives and end homelessness
Membership is annual and renewal for the following year takes place one year after the date of your first DuPagePads Partner gift.
Together with your support, DuPagePads empowers families and individuals to work toward their fullest potential and having a place to call home again.
