This year’s DuPagePads Run 4 Home 5K & 10K run, 5K walk on Saturday, September 16th, 2017, 8:00am in Wheaton has something for many groups of people. See below to see if you should join in on the fun and sign up today – www.padsrun.org.

kids and familiesThis year’s Run 4 Home is featuring a new shortened 1K Family Walk and a Kids Corner with games, prizes, face painting, balloon animals, magic show and more!

Children 6-14 can sign up for the 5K or 10K run and are eligible to win the Ross K. MacNeill award presented on stage to the top three 5K and 10K finishers.

Children 5 and under are free.

This year DuPagePads has a new friendly competition…The congregation who brings the most participants will receive a free ticket for each team member to our Wake Up Your Spirit Breakfast on Wednesday, November 8th featuring keynote speaker Eric Soderholm, former Chicago White Sox third baseman.

Are you a sprinter or more of a distance runner? We have awards for both!

Back again this year is the King/Queen of the Hill challenge. The first male and female to reach the top of the hill at Manchester and Bridge Street (about a half a mile into the race) will be crowned King & Queen of the Hill at the Awards ceremony.

All runners are chip-timed and awards are given to the top three finishers overall for the 5K and 10K on stage. Additionally, participants can win a medal in their age category and gender:

  • runners– Ross K. MacNeill Award (14 & under),
    – 15-19,
    – 20-24,
    – 25-29,
    – 30-34,
    – 35-39,
    – 40-44,
    – 45-49,
    – 50-54,
    – 55-59,
    – 60-64,
    – 65-69,

    – 80+

In addition to our 5K walk through the scenic streets of Wheaton and volunteers cheering walkers on, this year we are also offering a new 1K Family Walk (approximately half a mile) for those who would like to complete a shorter distance.

Strollers are welcome for all walkers.

Numerous door prizes will be available for registered attendees with prizes from Naperville Running Company, Elements Massage, Gnarly Knots, Aurelio’s Pizza, Smashburger, Pinwheels, LA Tan, Studio Movie Grill and more!

*People who want to End Homelessness!

All funds raised from this year’s Run 4 Home will benefit DuPagePads housing programs and support services that provide a solution to ending homelessness.

As you can see, DuPagePads Run 4 Home has something for almost everyone.
