This year was the first year that we were sold out using all 30 lanes at Fox Bowl. These thirty teams collected donations, assisting in our mission to end homelessness in DuPage County.

National Volunteer Week is April 6-12, 2014; however we are celebrating our volunteers all month long. DuPagePads 4,000 volunteers are a force of positive change in our community and are the heart and soul of our mission to end homelessness.

12th Annual Galaxy Bowl…DuPagePads Strikes Back on April 12, 2014 at the Fox Bowl in Wheaton, noon-3:00pm. This fun, family bowling event raises funds for DuPagePads solution to end homelessness: housing coupled with support services and employment.

Our 8th Annual Taste of Hope was a great success! We were so thankful to have our 26 participating restaurants. A great time was had by all and raised needed funds to support DuPagePads Housing Programs and Support Services.

Spring is coming! Soon we will say farewell to the harsh winter weather that has taken a toll on us all. As the weather warms up, consider springing into action for DuPagePads. Enroll in benefits for Affordable Care Act. You may be eligible for benefits under the new health care law. Licensed DuPage Pads Navigators and Illinois Assisters can help you with health care enrollments. Every insurance plan on the Marketplace will cover services called “Essential Health Benefits”.

DuPagePads 8th Annual Taste of Hope – Tickets Almost Sold Out! Foodies in the area are gearing up for DuPagePads 8th Annual Taste of Hope, a culinary explosion of signature dishes from more than 25 of the area’s most elite restaurants. This delicious event will be held on Thursday, March 6th at Abbington Banquets in Glen Ellyn.

DuPage Pads Online Volunteer Training is Now Live! For the first time in DuPage Pad’s 28 year history, volunteers can be trained at their own convenience.

During this winter’s Arctic Blast, DuPagePads has remained committed to the health and safety of families and individuals who are homeless. With subzero temperatures and windchills sometimes as low as negative 40 degrees, DuPagePads developed solutions that would ensure no one would be exposed to the elements when weather conditions could seriously jeopardize their health.

This winter, ABC 7 Chicago came out to our Interim (Overnight) Housing site, reporting on the effects of the Arctic Blast on families and individuals who are homeless and seeking emergency shelter. Watch the video by clicking here.
