This past Saturday, September 12, Mike and Friends set out to lift 100 Tons in 8 hours at the CrossFit Carol Stream…in the first two hours they achieved it and set a new goal which they met: 500 tons or 1 million pounds!
With a passion for helping the homeless and over 5 years of volunteering, 17-year-old Justin has set up more than 1,400 sleeping pads, prepared more than 1,200 lunches, served more than 1,400 hot meals and raised $1,100 for DuPagePads mission.

This July, leadership members of DuPagePads had the opportunity to attend the National Alliance to End Homelessness Conference in Washington, D.C, along with over 1,600 advocates from across the country focused on Ending Homelessness. Among the impressive list of speakers was Richard Gere, the movie star who will be featured in a new film, “Time Out of Mind,” about a homeless man with a mental illness.

Meals and Volunteers Needed this Summer! DuPagePads provides meals, overnight housing and safety 365 nights a year to families and individuals who are homeless, but summer is where we are most in need of meal donations and volunteers.
